Cam Johnson is a bad man.

The Suns forward scored a career-high 38 points in Phoenix’s 115-114 win over the New York Knicks at Footprint Center on Friday night.

None bigger than this 3 at the buzzer, which he told reporters postgame was the biggest shot of his career:

Guess the bank was still open after hours for the NBA’s fourth-leading 3-point shooter.

Johnson told reporters postgame that he did not, in fact, call bank, but the shot did feel good coming off his hot hand.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been that angry shooting a basketball,” he said.

“I’m not surprised he made that shot just because he had been rolling. … The thing I like about Cam is his mentality doesn’t change,” Suns head coach Monty Williams told reporters postgame.

Johnson finished the game with an unbelievable nine 3-pointers — another career-high.

He shot 68.8% from the field on 11-of-16 attempts and 75% from beyond the arc (9-for-12) to join only Damian Lillard (2019) as players to have hit nine or more 3-pointers and a game-winning buzzer-beater in the same ballgame.

Johnson added two rebounds and one steal to his game-high point tally in 28 minutes off the bench.

His previous career high in points was 24 coming into Friday night’s contest.

Johnson managed to put up 21 in the fourth quarter alone in the Suns’ comeback win over the Knicks.

He was also given a technical foul after getting shoved by Julius Randle in the third quarter, which eventually resulted in a second technical and ejection of the Knicks forward.
