Jae Crowder, Draymond Green jaw after Suns’ ugly win over Warriors

Throughout the Phoenix Suns’ franchise-record tying win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, Jae Crowder and Draymond Green were consistently jawing at one another.

The back and forth, which at one point resulted in double technical fouls, didn’t stop as the final moments of the game ticked away, either.

“You choked twice,” Green said. “There’s nothing to talk about Jae. If you want to go there, we can go there. … You from Buckhead [Georgia], you from a nice neighborhood. You not like that.”

While Green appears to get the last word in, it was the Suns who got the last laugh Wednesday night.

Despite one of the Suns’ ugliest games of the season, Phoenix still managed to take a 107-103 road victory over the Warriors, who have yet to clinch a playoff spot and now sit fourth in the Western Conference standings.

If Golden State stays as the No. 4 seed, the Suns and Warriors could be on a collision course for a second-round playoff series if they can get out of Round 1.

There’s also the fact that Green himself could be considered the ultimate choke artist in the Warriors’ defeat. Down 102-101 with just over 30 seconds to play, the forward was called for a costly traveling call that all but sealed things in San Francisco.

Green wasn’t the only Warrior jawing with Suns players, as guard Jordan Poole and Chris Paul also shared some words during the second half.

“We don’t back down from nobody,” Green told reporters postgame. “That’s just not what we do here. … I’ve never seen him back down from anyone, CP’s no different. When you get legends like Chris Paul arguing with you and you’re young, that’s a beautiful sign.

“That means they know about you, you got them on alert. Because if you didn’t, he wouldn’t waste his time talking to you. … He didn’t back down and it’s great to see. You want to go in the foxhole with guys like that.”
