The Phoenix Suns are on a second game of a back-to-back and more poor shooting lead to a 54-51 first half deficit against the Utah Jazz at Footprint Center Saturday night.

Phoenix shot 7-for-29 from the three point line in Friday’s win over the Detroit Pistons. In the first half against the Jazz, the Suns were 2-of-10 (20%) from three. Phoenix did rally from two, shooting 46.5% from the field in the two quarters.

Deandre Ayton led the way for Phoenix, adding 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, seven rebounds and two assists. Devin Booker struggled in the half, shooting 3-for-13 and scoring eight points.

In the second game of the season against Utah (134-133 Jazz win in game one), Phoenix’s defense struggled to start once again, before recovering in the second. The Jazz dumped in 32 points in the first quarter before settling down for 22 in the second.

All nine players that entered the game for Utah added points for the team. The leading scorer was Jordan Clarkson with 12 points.

Utah held a 10 point lead after the first quarter, but Phoenix outscored Utah by seven in the second.

The Jazz won the rebound battle in the first two quarters, out-rebounding the Suns 23-19. The Suns forced seven Jazz turnovers in the half while Phoenix had three.

Utah trails Phoenix by one game for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
