Cards still looking for a WR, hoping for Braylon Edwards?

The Cardinals could still use another wide receiver, and Braylon Edwards is still available.
A match made in heaven? It would appear so, and Cardinals Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt was asked by ESPN’s Colin Cowherd Wednesday if something may happen between the former Jet and the Cardinals.
“We’re still looking at all opportunities out there just to try to make our team better and I think that’s something that we’ll keep monitoring and hopefully have a chance to act on at some point,” Whisenhunt said. “But I don’t know how quickly that’s moving.”
It’s interesting to hear Whisenhunt say he’s hopeful something can happen, as it would lend credence to the thought that the Cardinals would like to add the former Pro-Bowl wideout to what is shaping up to be an explosive offense.
The timing may be in issue, though, because even though Edwards would not be eligible to practice with the team until Thursday chances are the team would like to get him to camp as soon as possible.
However, while the Cardinals may want to bring the former Pro-Bowler in, Edwards would likely have to settle for a shorter, smaller contract than what he has been hoping for.
