There were questions surrounding Larry Fitzgerald’s future in Arizona this offseason when he was set to become a free agent at the end of the 2016 season.
The Cardinals seemingly put an end to those questions this summer, signing Fitzgerald to a one-year extension through 2017.
As it turns out, there’s reportedly more there.

In April before signing the extension, the nine-time Pro Bowler said he planned on sitting down with his family after the season and evaluating what he wants to do going forward. In July, he admitted he has thought about retirement, but said he has, “a lot of good football in him.”
Fitzgerald, 33, has spent his entire career in Arizona after being drafted No. 3 overall in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh. He’s coming off one of this best seasons in years for the team, catching at least 100 balls for the first time since 2007.
He enters the 2016 season with 1,018 receptions, 13,366 receiving yards and 98 touchdowns.
