With 2013 class at a crossroads, a look at Keim and Arians’ first foray into NFL Draft

A little less than four years ago, the Arizona Cardinals produced the first draft class under new general manager Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians.
The Cardinals, who made some draft trades to add picks, ultimately made nine selections, with their first being No. 7 overall and their last No. 219.
The three-day event saw the Cardinals make one trade — to add more picks — while selecting two offensive linemen, two running backs, two linebackers, one defensive back, a receiver and a tight end.
As the old adage goes, you cannot fairly judge a draft class until it has been in the league for at least a couple of seasons, and in the case of the 2013 haul, 2016 represented a milestone of sorts.
It was, after all, the final year of the players’ rookie deals, at least for those who are still with the team four seasons later.
Now, they become free agents.
