The Arizona State Sun Devils are alluding to a release of refreshed football uniforms that will be fully revealed July 1.
ASU football’s social media accounts on Thursday posted a graphic of just the necklines of two jerseys, one white and another maroon.
“Together, Adidas and Arizona State football are committed to redefining the future of sports by empowering student-athletes, honoring Arizona’s bold spirit and fueling innovation on and off the field,” a fine-print message read.
“Rooted in performance, passion, and purpose, we unite to elevate the game, inspire the Valley, and build a legacy that leaves no doubt — this is where tradition meets transformation.”

Tradition-wise, Arizona State’s maroon and gold colors remain. So does a centered PT-42 logo in honor of late ASU legend Pat Tillman.
Transformation, at least in the teaser, is shown with an “O2V” patch on the back of the neckline of the jerseys, which is shorthand for the final line of the Sun Devils’ fight song: “And it’s onward to victory.”

I’m one of the ASU fans who actually LIKES the pitchfork
It’s clean, simple, and symmetrical. And it’s not replacing Sparky… We just use Sparky a little more selectively
I remember when the interwoven “AS” baseball logo was used on the football unis too, in the early 2000s- I wouldn’t mind seeing a helmet with that on it here and there too
Agree . . . Oregon sort of started this new uniform every game stuff, and the Devils followed suit-to appeal to the "kids", who want fresh threads . . . I too liked it better when there's one home, one road, and (maybe) one alternate to showcase military appreciation-or whatever. They currently change uniforms like Barbie-every freaking game . . . Alabama, Penn State, USC-you rarely see them with alternate uni's . . . Devils should also stick to "Sparky", and lose the Maserati logo trident.
While granted, Alabama and Penn State never change their uniforms, I’d say a little more than half of college football teams DO change up their uniforms, at least in some slight way. Even teams like Notre Dame, Air Force and Army all have dramatically changed their uniforms or helmets for a particular game they’re playing. WHY does this happen? You said it yourself! The players absolutely LOVE getting new looks, and so do most fans! Especially when it is to signify a big important game, it psych’s players/fans up! I specifically love our helmets, the one with realistic looking flames and fire is probably my favorite, but I also like the ones where it looks maroon but then when the Sun or lights shine on it, it turns gold…and vice versa! In fact, I think ASU is the only school to have that type of coloring on their helmets, which is awesome!
Now with that said, I also like to see a throwback uniform from the 90’s with Sparky on the helmets too!
