ASU football shows off Pat Tillman helmets for salute to service uniforms vs. West Virginia
ASU football will be donning a special Pat Tillman logo on their helmets against West Virginia on Saturday.

Arizona State football will be donning a special Pat Tillman logo on their helmets as part of its salute to service uniforms against West Virginia on Saturday.
Arizona State will wear white pants with maroon jerseys that have gold-colored numbers. The helmets will be white with a maroon “PT42” logo on its side and a maroon and gold stripe down the middle.
The uniforms pay homage to ASU and Cardinals legend Pat Tillman, who left the NFL to become an Army legend following the 2001 season. He died in a friendly fire incident in 2004.

ASU has had a history of honoring Tillman with their uniforms as the Sun Devils previously donned “PT-42” helmets against UCF last season.
ASU wore black-gold uniforms for their previous home game against Houston on Oct. 25. The Sun Devils wore gold helmets with a black pitchfork on its side.

I've read a couple of books on PT, and I'd be curious as to what he'd think of the "hero worship" factor from his former school-? Even the remarks by his brother at his funeral didn't seem to lean into the narrative. Good that the Devils are showing some maroon in these uni's, as it's been hard to find for the last few games. They should roll West Virginia and Colorado, then you can flip a coin on the T-Cup.
I just hope the Sun Devils do the Tillman legacy proud by winning tomorrow.
