McDonald’s brings Ronald to Sedona wearing Devin Booker’s Book 2 shoes

Ronald McDonald is coming to Sedona, Arizona, and we can thank Devin Booker for showing him the way.

Leaks of Booker’s Book 2 shoes with a turquoise-on-gray colorway and M logo were a clear shoutout to the off-color McDonald’s arches in Northern Arizona. But the fastfood giant is not only in on letting Nike slap a logo on Booker’s signature sneaker.

It is in on the whole marketing campaign.

McDonald’s social accounts posted a teaser of Ronald McDonald sporting full-turquoise shoes — not just turquoise-on-gray — on Monday.

Then, on Tuesday, Booker and the burger joint posted a Booker-filmed hike through the desert, a turquoise ball bouncing out of the sky and leading the Phoenix Suns star to Ronald’s bench. Admittedly, we did not have Ronald McDonald popping out of a Sedona vortex while wearing Booker’s shoes on our 2026 bingo cards.

Booker, who has been with the Suns since he was drafted in 2015 and made Flagstaff an offseason spot of his own, has not only brought imagery of Phoenix’s purple and orange sunsets to his signature sneakers.

His Book 1 colorways included a green-dominant Flagstaff version as well as a red Sedona option.

Now comes a second Sedona colorway with an even more Arizona-specific angle.

If you didn’t know: The turquoise-arched McDonald’s was built just after the town was incorporated in 1988 and went away from the restaurant’s classic golden arches to better complement Sedona’s red rocks.
