Dez Bryant’s cleats for playoff game include reused Nikes and a Nick Jr. character

With a chance for the Dallas Cowboys to go to the NFC Championship for the first time since 1995 on the line, every little detail could matter, including cleat style.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell cataloged Cowboys’ star wide receiver Dez Bryant’s options for footwear in the hours before the game.

Among the choices for Bryant, this pair of white, Cowboy-themed Air Jordans from a company called Custom Cleats Inc. was the first of the two Rovell shared.

Yes, that is in fact a Nike logo on the shoes, despite them not being original Nike cleats. Custom Cleats is a company that takes sneakers and converts them to cleats usable for any sports.

Some on Twitter were not especially impressed with the company’s work on these.

The second option Rovell tweeted were significantly more colorful, and also included an homage to Bryant’s daughter.

These ones seem a little more Bryant’s style, bold and flashy. The little sticker of Peppa Pig is a reference to the popular Nick Jr. show.

Regardless of which pair he settles on, his eye is on the prize of beating the Green Bay Packers and coming within one game of Super Bowl XLI.
