Arizona has not rolled out this logo since 1989, as it switched to the current “A” logo. Bringing the look back adds to a growing list of alternate helmets the program has taken the field with over the past couple seasons.
In 2024, Arizona rocked the retro cactus logo on its helmets, as well as “CATS” in script lettering on a red cap.
Arizona enters the nonconference game against a fellow Big 12 opponent (scheduled before Arizona joined the Big 12) with a 2-0 record after wins over Hawaii and Weber State.
Kansas State is 1-2 with a victory over North Dakota sandwiched by three-point losses to Iowa State and Army.
The game will kick off at Arizona Stadium on Friday night at 6 p.m. MST and air on FOX.
