Sometimes a reporter asks a dumb question. Sometimes a reporter asks a question needing a specific answer, and the person who is responsible for answering the question decides they want no part of it.
We’re not here to judge the reporters who were covering Baylor’s 79-75 loss to Yale in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Thursday, but the guess here is in this clip it was more a case of the latter than the former.
Shortly after the game ended, Baylor star Taurean Prince was asked how his team was outrebounded by a smaller Yale squad and, well, his answer was really not much of one.
Instead of detailing a scheme issue or maybe even a lack of effort, Prince decided to explain — in a literal sense — how a player grabs a rebound.
No doubt that was not the answer the reporter was looking for, and it’s possible their story will suffer because of it.
But for us, at least, we get treated to a somewhat funny and very sarcastic answer to a post-game question.
