Maurice Purify returning to Arizona Rattlers

The defending Arena Bowl champion Arizona Rattlers got good news Wednesday when they learned receiver Maurice Purify was assigned to the team on a two-year contract.
Last season, Purify caught 154 catches for 2,351 yards and 63 touchdowns. In the Arena Bowl against Philadelphia, Purify caught nine passes for 143 yards and seven touchdowns as the Rattlers cruised to a 72-54 win an their third league championship.
Purify was the AFL Rookie of the Year in 2011 when he caught 129 passes for 1,650 yards and 46 touchdowns for the Georgia Force.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Purify played his college ball at Nebraska and played in five games with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009.
