Arizona Cardinals trade up to 116, pick Rodney Gunter out of Delaware State

May 2, 2015, 5:01 PM | Updated: 7:24 pm

In the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals traded up from their 123rd overall pick to the 116th spot and selected defensive end Rodney Gunter from Delaware State.

Gunter was SportsNetwork Preseason FCS All-America Second Team and Preseason All-MEAC Second Team selection in 2014.

The 6-foot-5, 305-pound (listed) Gunter can reportedly play defensive end and defensive tackle. He is the cousin of D.C. Jefferson, who played for the Arizona Cardinals for almost one full season.

To get Gunter, the Cardinals traded their 123rd pick to the Cleveland Browns for the 116th pick, and sent the Browns their 198th and 241st picks.
