Even with a pair of good-luck charms on hand in New York Tuesday night, it wasn’t enough to change the Phoenix Suns’ fortunes in the NBA Draft Lottery.

Heading into the evening, the Suns had a 1.8 percent chance of moving into the top-three of the 2014 NBA Draft, and a 0.5 percent chance of taking home the No. 1 overall pick.

Neither occurred.

With Marcus and Markieff Morris — both of whom were selected in the lottery of the the 2012 NBA Draft — representing the organization, the Suns were the first team to come off the board, meaning they will have the No. 14 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft June 26.

In addition to the No. 14 pick, Phoenix also has the rights to the No. 18 and No. 27 selections on Draft Night — via offseason trades with the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards.

The Suns have had the No. 14 pick on three prior occasions: 1971 (John Roche), 1988 (Dan Majerle) and 2009 (Earl Clark).

Phoenix last had a top-three lottery pick in 1987, when it selected power forward Armen Gilliam out of UNLV.
