The Phoenix Suns are adding a guard from their D-League affiliate.

The contract was initially reported as one for the rest of the season, but the Suns announced the contract is a multi-year deal.

The 29-year-old Millsap has played in the NBA D-League since 2010. In his past two seasons there, Millsap has been with the Suns’ affiliate. This year, Millsap is averaging 19.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the NAZ Suns, leading the team in scoring and rebounding among players who have played in at least 30 games.

Millsap has 67 NBA games on his resume with the Utah Jazz from 2014-2016. He was a D-League All-Star in 2012 and also spent time overseas with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Dragan Bender in 2016, where he played in six games before being released less than two months after signing a contract.

The Suns elected not to re-sign forward Jarell Eddie after his second 10-day contract expired.

Eddie averaged 4.8 points and 12.4 minutes per game in his five games played for the Suns.

The Suns play the Dallas Mavericks Sunday afternoon in their last home game before ending their season Tuesday in Sacramento against the Kings.
