Surprise, surprise.
It’s the Philadelphia Eagles on top of both Doug Franz and Ron Wolfley’s Week 13 NFL power poll. Then it’s the New England Patriots.
Where do the Doug & Wolf co-hosts differ? For one, Doug is still finding it hard to give credit to the Los Angeles Rams, who have won five of their last six. He has the Rams fifth in his rankings, behind the No. 3 Vikings and the No. 4 Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wolf has the Rams third and the Rams fifth to sandwich Pittsburgh, which makes not so much sense considering the Vikings accounted for Los Angeles’ only loss in the past six games, a 24-7 defeat in Minnesota.
“Let them play again. One game does not make a season,” Wolf said.
“This is really hard for me. This is really, really hard, but if you watch the Los Angeles Rams play, ladies and gentleman, I’m telling you right now their explosive offense is only bested by their excellent special teams,” Wolf added. “They have an excellent punter. They have great skill — let’s put it that way — on special teams. And that defense, that defense is for real.”
