Nash, Gortat among vote getters for All-NBA honors

The NBA released the voting for their 2011-12 All-NBA
first, second and third teams Thursday.

And no, there were no members of the Phoenix Suns who
landed on any of the top three squads of vote getters, but
point guard Steve Nash and center Marcin Gortat were among
those receiving votes.

Nash finished 8th in voting among NBA guards, receiving a
total of 24 points. The 16-year pro averaged 12.5 points
per game and finished second in the league in assists per
contest at 10.5.

Gortat led the Suns in scoring and rebounding,
contributing 15.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest.
The 28-year-old Polish native was one of only seven
players in the league to average at least 15 points and 10
rebounds per game. Gortat finished with a total of 2
points in the voting.
