Suns give fans a look into the NBA Draft war room

Jun 22, 2018, 1:28 PM

Decisions were made and the wait is finally over.

Not only did the Phoenix Suns select Arizona big man Deandre Ayton with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, they also added Mikal Bridges, Elie Okobo and George King on Thursday.

The Suns’ brass decided to let the fans in on the monumental night, showing what transpired in the war room leading up to and after the first pick was submitted.

Telephones, draft booklets, a draft board and numerous Suns personnel engulfed the room.

“What are you guys thinking?” Suns general manager Ryan McDonough said jokingly as the clock started. “Give them a couple of minutes, see if any trade calls blow us away.”

The wait didn’t last long though as the team officially announced the pick to the NBA.

The only other thing to do?

Sit back and watch the excitement unfold across Talking Stick Resort Arena.
