The Phoenix Suns G League affiliate, out of Prescott Valley, paid homage to the World’s Oldest Rodeo in nearby Prescott by wearing orange stripped jerseys that had suspenders and a handkerchief sewed into the jersey pattern.
Shorts that resembled blue jeans were also part of the uniform.
“There’s a legend behind Prescott and this entire area that I didn’t really know a lot about and it’s all about the rodeo,” NAZ Suns broadcaster Jon Bloom said.
The uniforms were part of the team’s Western Night, which included a straw cowboy hat giveaway, a post game concert and a come-from-behind win for the Rodeo Clowns.
Retin Obasohan scored the go-ahead and-1 layup with 6.3 seconds left to lift the Rodeo Clowns to the 117-116 win over the Texas Legends.
