Think Chicago Bears fans are over the Cody Parkey double doink?
Think again.
During the 2019 Pro Bowl festivities over the week, Bears defensive end Akiem Hicks decided to open up his Instagram Live feed to chat with a young Chicago fan.
Hicks, asking what the team was in store for next season, was ready to hear “we’re going to win a Super Bowl” from the young fan.
But definitely not what came next.

“Parkey’s not going to ruin it next year,” the fan said after talking Super Bowl with the lineman.
Sore. Subject.
“Oh, wait, wait, wait I’m on live!” Hicks responded as he clearly looked flustered by the sudden comment. “Well, it’s too late to mute it. Anyways.”
For those who might not remember — or have blocked the memory out of your brain — Parkey missed the game-wining field goal that would have given the Bears an 18-15 win over the Eagles in the NFC Wild Card game.

So close.
Instead, Parkey’s kick hit the post and the crossbar, handing the Eagles the 16-15 victory, and evidently giving young fans something to talk about when a member of the team is around.
Our guess is Hicks, who earned his first career Pro Bowl selection this season, is going to think twice before hitting that “Live” button in public again.
