The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled outfielder Jake McCarthy from the Taxi Squad and optioned right-handed pitcher Jacob Webb to Triple-A Reno, the team announced Friday.

The moves round out a week of roster fluctuation, as the D-backs have added three players to the injured list and recalled eight others since Monday.

They also made a trade for former Baltimore Orioles lefty Paul Fry on Wednesday.

McCarthy rejoins the club after getting optioned to Triple-A Reno on April 25. He started the year in the majors after an optimistic offensive spring training, however, he went 3-for-25 with a home run and 12 punch outs in 13 games.

He found a groove back in Reno, hitting .400 with five home runs in 20 games for the Aces. He also stole seven bags.

The lefty joins a current outfield crop of Alek Thomas, Daulton Varsho, David Peralta and Pavin Smith. Cooper Hummel was added to the injured list on Wednesday.

Webb was recalled on Wednesday and did not make an appearance for Arizona. He will remain on the Taxi Squad following his option.

The D-backs have three more road games on their current trip, starting Friday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

First pitch is at 11:20 a.m. with Humberto Castellanos on the hill for Arizona.
