After being the stars of the offseason, Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris reunited on the hardwood Friday night when the Phoenix Suns took on the Detroit Pistons at home.

Marcus Morris was sent to Detroit in a July trade and the twins were not happy to be separated, and certainly not happy with the Suns and their handling of the trade. Since Suns media day, though, the remaining twin playing in purple and orange, Markieff, has been quiet about his feelings.

Markieff isn’t marking last year’s numbers so far this season with 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 34 percent from the field. Marcus said Friday that his brother doesn’t look happy.

Needless to say, Marcus’ return to Phoenix was the top storyline of the early-season matchup.

Marcus entered to a fairly standard greeting from the crowd during introductions but was booed by the home crowd every time he touched the ball over the course of the game.

“It wasn’t [expletive],” Marcus said about the booing. “It was light. If it was in Detroit, it would’ve been better. If Detroit was booing somebody it would’ve been way better. They don’t even know why they’re booing. They’re just out there booing me. It was trash. I thought it would be a little better than that.”

He finished with 20 points,  two steals, two assists and six rebounds and his Pistons topped the Suns 100-92. He was the second leading scorer behind Reggie Jackson with 23 points.

“Oh I’ve been putting it behind me, Marcus said postgame. “I definitely wanted to beat them at home, but I’ve been putting it behind me. I’m a Piston, I don’t even think about Phoenix anymore.”

Markieff scored 18 points behind 22 each from Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight. He got in foul trouble early and earned a technical foul after getting upset after committing two fouls within the first four minutes. He added one steal, two assists and four rebounds.

The twins will reunite again in Detroit on Dec. 2.
