The Arizona Diamondbacks and third baseman Jake Lamb left Philadelphia the right way Monday with a four-game series sweep against the Phillies.

Lamb was a factor in all four games, hitting two home runs with five RBI in Philadelphia. He had nine hits, including a triple, in 17 at-bats to help the D-backs earn their second four-game series sweep of the season.

The third baseman has now brought his batting average from .263 in the last series the D-backs played — against the Los Angeles Dodgers — to .283 following Monday 3-1 victory.

In his last seven games, Lamb has been more than solid, batting .450 with a .542 on-base percentage and slugging .900. He has seven RBI and three home runs, bringing his total to five home runs in the month of June alone.

He is now tied with teammate Paul Goldschmidt, Washington Nationals’ Bryce Harper and New York Mets’ Neil Walker for 14th in the NL with 14 home runs. He is also tied with Goldschmidt and Colorado Rockies’ rookie Trevor Story for eighth in the NL with 45 RBI and is just behind Goldschmidt with the 14th-best OPS in the majors.

The D-backs are 5-2 in their last seven games and it’s no coincidence that Lamb has been on a roll as well.
