Fan in Toronto throws drink at Orioles OF Hyun-soo Kim

Orioles outfielder Hyun-soo Kim settled in below Melvin Upton Jr.’s deep fly ball with two outs in the seventh inning of Baltimore’s AL Wild Card battle against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kim made the catch — and a beverage bottle nearly caught him.

A full can of some beverage or another flung out of the Rogers Centre stands and nearly hit the outfielder, who flinched but held onto the ball to send the 2-2 tie into the eighth frame. While Kim appeared satisfied just to get out of the inning, teammate and fellow outfielder Adam Jones was more than a little bit irritated.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter likewise wasn’t pleased with the debris being thrown into the field of play.
