Coyotes recall forwards Dauphin, Perlini

Jan 12, 2017, 12:52 PM

The Arizona Coyotes pulled two forwards from the ranks of their AHL affiliate on Thursday, recalling Laurent Dauphin and Brendan Perlini from the Tucson Roadrunners, per a press release from the team.

The Coyotes assigned the pair, along with defenseman Anthony DeAngelo, to the Roadrunners on Jan. 8, though with the AHL team taking a most of the week off they didn’t take the ice.

Dauphin, a 21-year-old forward from Quebec, has bounced back-and-forth between the NHL and AHL this season. He has two goals and one assist with 10 penalty minutes in 21 games for the Coyotes this season. In Tucson, he has five goal and six assists, giving him 11 points in as many games.

Perlini, the Coyotes first-round pick in the 2014 Entry Draft, has played 15 games for them this season. He has four goals, five points, and is second on the team in shooting percentage at .174. He’s been a productive scorer in the AHL as well, leading the Roadrunners with 14 goals and 19 points in 15 games played.

The Coyotes have been rolling through their farm of forwards due to injury. Winger Max Domi remains out recovering from hand surgery and center Brad Richardson went to IR in November with a broken leg.

The Coyotes (12-22-6) will play a home back-to-back on Friday and Saturday against the Winnipeg Jets and Anaheim Ducks before a three-game road trip next week.
