Devon Still gives outstanding pep talk to daughter facing surgery

Sep 25, 2014, 11:21 PM | Updated: 11:21 pm

By now you have probably heard the story of Devon Still, the Cincinnati Bengals tackle whose 4-year-old daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 pediatric cancer in June.

The news understandably shook Still, to the point where he wasn’t as effective on the field. So, the Bengals cut him.

However, the team re-signed him to their practice squad, allowing him to continue to draw a salary as well as have medical insurance.

It was a great move by the Bengals. But the story didn’t end there.

Stills’ daughter was scheduled for surgery Thursday, and on the way to the hospital he gave her an amazing pep talk.

Later in the day, some good news was shared.

We love it.
