...

The NFL, in an attempt to completely dominate the sports calendar, releases their Top 100 Players list every offseason.

That countdown started this week on NFL Network and NFL.com, and it didn’t take the Arizona Cardinals to get their first representative.

Defensive end Calais Campbell made the list for the first time, coming it at number 99.

Campbell was a stalwart on one of the league’s top defenses in 2014, registering 58 total tackles, which was fifth-most on the team. Campbell also had seven sacks, including three against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 9 loss.

Pro Football Focus had Campbell ranked as the league’s fourth-best 3-4 defensive end in 2014, behind only Houston’s J.J. Watt and Sheldon Richardson and Muhammad Wilkerson of the New York Jets.

The 6-foot-8 veteran also made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
