You thought A-Rod’s return to the Yankees this spring was a big story?

Sorry Alex, you’ve got nothing on Will Ferrell.

The actor is playing in five games for 10 different teams in the Cactus League Thursday to benefit Cancer for College, an organization that has been providing college scholarships to cancer survivors since 1994.

Ferrell’s desert tour started in Mesa when he manned the shortstop position for the Oakland A’s.

Then, he moved over to second base for the Mariners.

Next stop: Tempe for the Cubs-Angels and a frame in center for Halos.

In fact, the funny man showed some game while wearing the Los Angeles jersey.

Then, an inning of coaching third base for the Cubbies.

After that, the actor got his first at-bat of the day. Angels right-hander Ryan Mattheus blew him away on three pitches — but hey, at least Will the Thrill took his hacks!
