Shelby Miller left loss to Dodgers with right forearm tightness

Diamondbacks pitcher Shelby Miller went 4.0 innings in a 6-2 Arizona loss Sunday before being pulled from the game due to right forearm tightness.
He will be reevaluated on Monday and will undergo an MRI.
“Personally, I feel I’ll probably feel better tomorrow,” Miller said. “I don’t think it’s that big of an issue. Physically, I don’t think there’s any damage, not at all. I think it is what it is: it’s just a little tight.”
During a fifth-inning mound visit from manager Torey Lovullo and trainer Ken Crenshaw, Miller left the game after having walked two batters to begin the frame before giving up a two-RBI double to the Dodgers’ Corey Seager.
“It just jumped up on him in the fifth inning. We didn’t like what we saw,” Lovullo said of Miller’s last inning, adding that catcher Chris Iannetta alerted the staff that something was wrong.
“You hate to take somebody off the mound like that, but I just didn’t like a couple things I heard,” Lovullo said. “He said he felt the forearm tightening and at that point in time, that was enough for me.”
Leading off the inning, Los Angeles pitcher Brandon McCarthy walked on a just-below-the-zone pitch that was followed by Miller’s visible disgust of the call.
Miller then struggled with his command, walking Joc Pederson before giving up the Seager hit that tied the game, 2-2.
Randall Delgado replaced Miller and fared no better, giving up three more runs in the decisive, six-run fifth off an Adrian Gonzalez two-run double and then a Yasmani Grandal solo shot.
