The Arizona Cardinals promoted 24-year-old Bronson Hill to the active roster and signed fellow running back Darius Victor to take Hill’s place on the practice squad on Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10, 215-pound Hill was added to the practice squad last week when Arizona waived Andre Ellington.

In three appearances with the Minnesota Vikings last season, Hill carried the ball twice for 11 yards. He spent the 2017 preseason with the Vikings and was on their practice squad until Nov. 7, when they released him.

Hill began his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills practice squad after going undrafted out of Eastern Michigan in 2015. He’s since spent time on practice squads in Chicago, Miami and New Orleans.

Victor, a 5-foot-8, 209-pound back out of Towson, went undrafted this summer and spent the preseason with the Saints. New Orleans released him on Sept. 2.
