D-backs announce pitchers, catchers workouts begin on Valentine’s Day

Pitchers and catchers arriving for their first workouts mark the beginning of the baseball season, and for the Arizona Diamondbacks, that will come on Valentine’s Day.

The D-backs’ 21st spring training and eighth at Salt River Fields begins on Feb. 14, with that workout being the first that is open to the public. The first full-squad workout will be the following Monday on Feb. 19.

Two days later the slate of games gets underway at Salt River Fields against Arizona State University.

Here is a look at the full 40-man roster attending, as well as the 11 non-roster invitees.

D-backs’ 40-man roster
