His team struggling, at least Sarver has a nice home

Maybe Suns owner Robert Sarver isn’t doing so badly financially after all.
According to The Arizona Republic, the home owned by Sarver and his wife Penny is the second-most expensive home in the Valley, valued at $14.4 million.
The Paradise Valley estate, built in 2009 (don’t worry, the Suns did not sell their draft pick that season to pay for the house), has 12 patios and a garage that could fit a dozen vehicles.
And, like any good sports fan, Sarver made sure his home had ample grassy areas to play around in and a basketball court to shoot hoops. Fitting that it is just a half-court setup, though there are a few plausible explanations for this.
One, maybe the Sarvers don’t play a lot of basketball and when they do they never have enough to run full. You’d need at least four on four to do that, and maybe they don’t have enough basketball-playing friends.
Another possibility is that, in honor of his team only playing on one side of the court in their games, he just plain forgot that there are two ends to every real basketball court.
And finally, perhaps Robert decided to save a little money and chose to forego a full court in lieu of the half. However, it would be completely out of character for Sarver to make a basketball decision based around finances, so that’s probably the least likely of the three.
At any rate, it would probably be fair to say every one of us would love to own a house like the one the Sarvers have, so kudos to them for providing a great home and environment for their family. Hopefully the mortgage (and utility bill, ouch!) isn’t too bad, as the team has a few holes that need to be filled if they are to make a return to the playoffs.
