Trivia Tuesday: Top American-born goal scorers in NHL history
Mar 20, 2018, 7:42 AM
Monday night, Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored his 100th career goal (and his 101st) in Arizona’s 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames.
In doing so, OEL became the sixth Swedish-born defenseman to top the century mark in goals scored. It got us to thinking…what about American goal scorers?
That, quite simply, is your goal this week: Name the top 20 American-born goal scorers (regardless of position) in NHL history.
We’ve given you the span of each player’s career, the number of times he lit the lamp and the team for which he scored the most goals (19 of 20 players on this list have played for multiple teams).
You’ve got seven minutes on the clock. Good luck.
