The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Friday they have agreed to terms with five 2018 First-Year Player Draft selections.

Seventh-round pick Travis Moths, ninth-rounder Tyler Holton, 10th-round selection Nick Dalesandro, 22nd-rounder Blake Workman and 38th-round pick David Garza all inked deals with the club.

Right-handed pitcher Moths saw his best season with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in 2018.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound pitcher went 13-2 with a 3.86 ERA in 16 starts. He appeared in a total of 19 games.

In 95.2 innings pitched, Moths struck out 104 batters.

During his junior season in 2017, Moths was primarily used out of the bullpen posting a 3.88 ERA in 19 appearances.

Holton, out of Florida State, was the 279th overall pick in the ninth round of the MLB Draft.

The left-handed pitcher’s 2018 season was cut short after he suffered a torn UCL during the first weekend of the season.

In 2017, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound pitcher showed off his arm, going 10-3 with a 2.34 ERA in 18 starts. He struck out a career-high 144 batters and also recorded two complete games and one shutout in 119.1 innings. his ERA was the best among Seminole starting pitchers and the third-lowest in the ACC.

With their final pick of Day 2, No. 309, of the MLB Draft, the D-backs took Purdue catcher Dalesandro.

In 59 games (219 at-bats), Dalesandro averaged .297 from the plate with a .402 OBP. He also had a slugging percentage of .402. He recorded two home runs and 34 RBI.

In 2015, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound catcher was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the MLB First-Year Player Draft.

The D-backs selected RHP Workman out of Cal State Fullerton in the 22nd round (pick No. 669).

In 2018, Workman went 4-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched. He appeared in 31 games, making three starts, and struck out 72, while allowing 22 earned runs.

His best season came in 2017 when he went 6-3 with a 2.89 ERA, allowing 20 runs and striking out 54.

Garza was selected by the D-backs with the 38th-round pick.

The infielder saw his totals slightly drop in 2017, but came out strong in 2018. He averaged .311 from the plate to go along with 17 homers and 72 RBI on 82 hits, 17 of which were doubles, for Tennessee Tech.

The D-backs have now signed 28 of their 41 selections in the 2018 First-Year Player Draft.

The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Matt McLain, Arizona’s first selection of the draft at No. 25 overall, remains unsigned.
