Don’t look now, but Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Shelby Miller is back with the team.

Prior to their game against the San Diego Padres, the D-backs reinstated the starting pitcher from the 60-day disabled list on Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the team placed Christian Walker on the 60-day DL with a facial fracture.

It’s been an up-and-down road for Miller in 2018.

The pitcher underwent Tommy John surgery on his elbow May 10, 2017, before he began his comeback on May 11 of this year with a extended spring appearance at Salt River Fields.

The right-hander went 0-4 in his MLB starts, allowing 19 earned runs over 15.0 innings pitched for a 11.40 ERA.

In his final start before heading to the DL on July 12, Miller allowed five earned runs while walking two batters in 1.0 innings. He would be placed on the DL the following day with what manager Torey Lovullo called right elbow tightness.

Over the course of his seven-year career, Miller has gone 37-53 with a 3.84 ERA and 592 strikeouts.

Walker suffered a facial fracture on Sept. 24 when he was hit by a pitch in the eighth inning by Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kenta Maeda.

Lovullo told Burns & Gambo on 98.7 Arizona’s Sports Station Tuesday that Walker would miss the remainder of the season after the sustaining the injury.

In 37 games with the pro club, Walker hit .163 (8-for-49) with three home runs and six RBI. He was walked three times. With Triple-A Reno, He hit .299 with 18 homers and 71 RBI.
