Kyler Murray must’ve gotten rid of the rookie jitters in Week 1, a tie against the Detroit Lions.

Because in a 23-17 loss on the road to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, the rookie Arizona Cardinals quarterback looked confident as ever.

Red zones issues stung Arizona for the second week in a row, but Murray once again passed for more than 300 yards, becoming the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 or more yards in each of his first two games.

Murray finished 25-of-40 for 349 yards without a pick or a touchdown. He put those numbers together despite the Cardinals facing an aggressive defense and rushing the ball just 11 times for 20 yards.

Though it was second-year pro Lamar Jackson leading his team to a win with 272 passing yards and 120 more rushing, there were positive takeaways for Murray and the Cardinals.

For the Week 2 edition of the K1 Podcast, former Arizona State quarterback Rudy Carpenter and ArizonaSports.com reporter and editor Kevin Zimmerman dive into Murray’s mostly mistake-free outing, the Cardinals’ red-zone play-calling that saw them kick three field goals with the ball inside the 5-yard line and more.
