You won’t hear a bad word said about Markus Golden as a teammate, and his return to the Arizona Cardinals brought some expected excitement.
Golden was acquired by Arizona on Friday from the New York Giants in exchange for a sixth-round pick, pending a physical.
Despite under two years in New York, there were plenty of well wishes sent to Golden from the Giants.
Good luck big bro appreciate you more than you know @markusgolden 🙏🏾

Wishing nothing but the best to Markus Golden in Arizona… He has been a CLASS act for us and been nothing but supportive of the direction of the team, even when there was none.
11.5 sacks in 1.5 seasons, he's a good one!

Golden comes back to the Cardinals with 19.0 sacks in 46 career games to his name.
Some former teammates are glad to see him back, as are the fans.

The former second-round pick of the Cardinals in the 2015 NFL Draft had a breakout 2016 campaign, recording a team-high 12.5 sacks and forming a fearsome one-two pass-rushing punch with Chandler Jones.
Golden signed a one-year deal with the Giants in 2019 and recorded 10.0 sacks under his former defensive coordinator in Arizona James Bettcher. Golden signed a one-year tender with New York in August to return to the team. This season he has 1.5 sacks in seven games.
