Cardinals defensive end Zach Allen is questionable to return with a right leg injury suffered in the first quarter of Arizona’s Sunday Night Football win against the Seattle Seahawks.
Fellow starter Jordan Phillips departed in the fourth quarter of the 37-34 overtime victory with a hamstring injury. He’d entered the game questionable with an ankle issue.
Starting linebacker Jordan Hicks was also off the field for the Cardinals’ last defensive possessions of overtime.
Allen came off the right edge on one play but pulled up lame without taking contact to the leg.
He put some weight on his leg as he departed.
The end went into the medical tent and returned to the sidelines with his ankle taped heavily, according to sideline reporter Paul Calvisi. Allen returned for the ensuing defensive possession for the Cardinals. After being called for an offsides penalty, he left for the locker room.
His departure added to a hurting front seven for Arizona, which has lost outside linebacker Chandler Jones for the season. Phillips has been dealing with an ankle injury, while backup nose tackle Rashard Lawrence is on the injured reserve with a calf injury.
Allen, who got a hit on Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson on the first drive of the game, had 11 combined tackles with a sack heading into the Week 7 game.
Phillips had nine tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles before Sunday.
The pair of losses left Arizona with Corey Peters, Angelo Blackson, rookie Leki Fotu and practice squad call-up Trevon Coley in the defensive line rotation.
