Phoenix Suns ‘The Valley’ City Edition uniforms reportedly leak

UPDATE: Click here to see the Phoenix Suns’ official reveal of their “The Valley” City Edition uniforms.

The Phoenix Suns revealed their Statement Edition jerseys a month ago to tepid fanfare.

After all, the switch to Jordan Brand was about a flip from the Nike logo and little else.

But if Suns fans want different, they will get it if leaked pictures of the team’s City Edition uniforms turn out to be legitimate.

A photo spread on Twitter Thursday morning of a black, yellow, orange, red and purple jersey with a pixelated silhouette of a mountain. “The Valley” is written across the front of the leaked jerseys, something that might play to the Suns’ “Valley Boyz” label given to them by forward Kelly Oubre Jr.

The team name appears on what would be the tucked in portion of the jerseys, above the label.

Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net confirmed that the Suns leak is legitimate, and other details add up. The Suns tweeted Oubre sporting a shirt with the same coloring and “The Valley” text with a winky-faced emoji.

The mountain on the jerseys appears to be Camelback Mountain. That would make sense considering the Suns are still constructing their new practice facility near the base of the Phoenix-area icon.

The photo leak comes in this month’s wave of jersey releases. Several other NBA team’s City Edition jerseys were revealed on social media this week, including those of the Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks.
