The Arizona Cardinals announced Thursday they have placed safety Chris Banjo on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Banjo landing on the list could mean he either tested positive for coronavirus or is in quarantine after coming into close contact with someone who has tested positive.
The 30-year-old safety has been a key depth piece for the Cardinals this season after injuries for starting safety Jalen Thompson and backup safety Deione Thompson landing on the COVID-19 reserve list as well.
Banjo has four starts in 13 games this year, amassing 48 total tackles and a pass defensed.
The defensive back was already listed on the injury report with a did not participate on Wednesday due to a hip injury.
The Rams themselves have had two players recently land on their own COVID-19 reserve list: wide receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive lineman Michael Brockers.
