Gibson not sure what’s wrong with team

Coming off winning the National League West and keeping most of the team, the Diamondbacks expectations are different this year, including in Spring Training.
However, the game results are eerily similar to last year’s exhibition games.
The D-backs are 1-4-1 in the Cactus League and most of the losses are blowouts. Arizona suffered a 11-1 loss against the San Francisco, a 16-3 defeat to Texas and a 10-2 beating from the Cleveland.
“We haven’t been very good, not really sure why,” Gibson said Friday before their game. “I have some ideas, which we will go with some new things probably in the next week or so, but we haven’t gotten off to a good start in any aspect of the game really.”
Gibson said they’ve been doing the right things by conditioning, individual defense and team fundamentals every day, and the coaching staff had the players run the bases before warm-ups.
“We did it last year, and we were brutal last year in the spring,” Gibson said. “We’re further ahead this year, and we know that from last year, and I don’t know but I’m hoping that it kind of freshens us up a bit to give us a little more energy on the field.”
