D-backs’ Roberts ‘chipping in’ for community

Apr 17, 2012, 2:18 PM | Updated: 3:42 pm

Arizona Diamondbacks’ third baseman Ryan Roberts can do it
all.

He’s driven in six runs for the D-backs, who are off to a
solid start in 2012. He’s become a folk hero of sorts for
the Chase Field faithful. And now, he’s “chipping in” for
the community.

Through popchips®, Roberts is one of fifteen “game
changers”
across the nation who is donating his time to a cause
important to the Valley of the Sun. The cool part is,
you get to help choose the cause.

Log on to popchips.com/ryanroberts
to find out
how you can get involved. You can submit your ideas about
how Ryan can contribute to the community through April 30,
and the voting phase begins on May 1. Or visit or visit
your local fry’s and look for the popchips displays.
while you’re there, pick up all natural popchips, the game
changing snack with half the fat of fried chips.

Roberts is one of six major league players involved in
this charity drive, along with Tim Lincecum of the San
Francisco Giants, Torii Hunter of the Los Angeles Angels,
Miami first baseman Gaby Sanchez, Hunter Pence of the
Philadelphia Phillies and Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon.

Other athletes involved are NFL stars Ray Rice, Matt
Forte, Deion Branch, Shaun Phillips and Eric Decker, NBA
guard Baron Davis, NHL stars Ryan Kesler and Tyler Bozak
and U.S. Women’s soccer standout Hope Solo.
