Might be Wade Miley vs. Bryce Harper for rookie of the year

They were both National League All-Stars.
They are both in the thick of the playoff race.
They are both eligible for the National League Rookie of the Year award.
But only one of them has played well in the season’s second half.
Diamondbacks pitcher Wade Miley and Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper may be the frontrunners to win the National League Rookie of the Year award this season, though at this point it seems Harper is being carried by his reputation and Miley by his performance.
“I’m afraid for Wade Miley’s sake that Bryce Harper has gotten so much attention,” ESPN MLB analyst Tim Kurkjian said. “In the end you have to look at the final numbers.”
As of this moment the numbers favor Miley. Heavily.
The D-backs lefty is 12-7 with a 2.85 ERA to go along with 1.09 WHIP, which happens to be sixth-best in the National League. He’s 3-2 with a 2.25 ERA since pitching for the NL in the All-Star Game and shows no signs of slowing down.
