The Arizona Diamondbacks announced several roster moves on Saturday.

The D-backs have placed infielder Asdrubal Cabrera on the 10-day injured list due to a right hamstring strain.

In corresponding moves, Arizona reinstated outfielder Kole Calhoun (strained left hamstring) from the 60-day injured list and recalled infielder/outfielder Andrew Young from Triple-A Reno.

The Diamondbacks have also optioned right-handed pitcher Taylor Widener to Triple-A Reno and designated outfielder Nick Heath for assignment.

Cabrera, 35, is slashing .240/.332/.385 and has five home runs, 13 doubles and 28 RBIs in 192 at-bats this season (63 games).

Calhoun has not played with the Diamondbacks since April 27.

In 13 games on the 2021 campaign, the former Arizona State Sun Devil is slashing .292/.333/.479 to go along with two home runs and five RBIs over 48 at-bats.

“Everything looks good,” Calhoun said via Zoom during his pregame media availability. “So it just gets to a point where you got to go out and do it and so that’s where we’re at right now.

“Hopefully everything goes well and then feel good after the game, come back tomorrow and get a few days off for this All-Star break and hit the ground running when we come back.”

Young, 27, has four homers and 9 RBIs in addition to a slash line of .220/.347/.585 in 33 games this year (41 at-bats).

Widener has started all six of the games he’s pitched for the D-backs this season.

The right-hander has a 1-0 record and a 2.54 ERA to go along with 25 strikeouts and a 1.165 WHIP across 28.1 innings pitched.

Heath has played in 20 games for the Diamondbacks in 2021.

He is slashing .143/.231/.171 and has one double and one RBI over 35 at-bats.
