Arizona Diamondbacks call up Nick Evans from Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up Nick Evans from Triple-A Reno.
To make room for him, the team sent Alfredo Marte back to the Aces.
Evans, 28, spent four seasons with the New York Mets, hitting .256 with eight home runs and 46 RBI.
A first baseman who can also play outfield, Evans has been in the D-backs’ organization since 2013. In 44 games with the Aces this season, he hit .335 with 11 home runs and 44 RBI.
Marte, an outfielder, struggled in his second stint with the D-backs. The 25-year-old hit .227 with three RBI, one stolen base and 10 strikeouts in 22 at-bats with the team.
