The Arizona Cardinals signed tight end Stephen Anderson to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.

The terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end comes to the Valley after spending the past three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers (34 games). During that span, Anderson recorded 24 catches (30 targets) for 271 yards and a touchdown.

Anderson, who has been used more as a special teamer over his NFL career, saw 52% of available special teams snaps last season compared to 29% of offensive reps.

The tight end got his NFL start with the Houston Texans as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2016.

After recording 11 catches for 93 yards and a score in his first NFL season (13 games), Anderson put up his best statistical year in 2017.

Over 15 games played (five starts), Anderson caught 25 passes (52 targets) for 342 yards and a touchdown. He accounted for 17 first downs.

Anderson is the latest tight end to sign with Arizona in the past month.

On March 13, tight end Zach Ertz agreed to a three-year deal with the team. Three days later, Arizona agreed on a one-year contract with Maxx Williams.

Outside of Anderson, Ertz and Williams, the Cardinals also have tight ends David Wells, Deon Yelder, Bernhard Seikovits and Alex Ellis under contract.
