Diamondbacks option Zack Godley to Double-A

Since being called up on July 23, Zack Godley has done nothing but impress. And win.
The starting pitcher is 3-0 in his outings as a starter for the Arizona Diamondbacks. His beginning in the majors ranks him among the best in Diamondbacks history.
However, on Wednesday he was optioned to Double-A Mobile.

Along with that 3-0 record, Godley has an ERA of 1.50 and 17 strikeouts while walking five.
The team is in the midst of using a lot of starting pitchers because of injuries and having a lot of games in a row. The Diamondbacks only have one day off in the month of August — next Thursday, the 13th.
Allen Webster was up with the team in June. He went 1-1 in four starts. After winning his first outing his appearances got progressively worse.
When he was sent back to Triple-A Reno he had an ERA of 7.11 with 14 walks to 12 strikeouts.
The Diamondbacks wrap up their road trip two more games against the Washington Nationals. First pitch for Wednesday’s game is at 4:05 and Thursday’s matinee starts at 1:05 p.m. Both games can be heard on ESPN Phoenix 620.
