Mock drafts are the craze of draft season in any sport.
Sports fans want to know who the national experts see their teams selecting and which names from the college world they should be looking into.
There are big names in the NFL like ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Todd McShay that are famous for their mock drafts, which generate plenty of discussion on a national level.
One group that mock drafts aren’t popular with are players, but that didn’t stop Arizona Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson from tweeting out his very own mock draft Tuesday night.

Jefferson let everyone know not to take his mock too seriously.

Perhaps the aspect that stands out the most is Jefferson projecting the Cardinals will draft a player in his own area of the field: the secondary.
Clemson free safety T.J. Green has been connected to the Cardinals in numerous mock drafts over the last few weeks and Jefferson is the latest to follow suit.
Green had 95 tackles and two forced fumbles in his junior season for the national runner-up.
Jefferson has the Los Angeles Rams selecting Cal quarterback Jared Goff first overall, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles taking North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz.
Unlike most prognosticators, Jefferson has four quarterbacks getting drafted in the first round. He projects Memphis’ Paxton Lynch to the Cleveland Browns with the 12th pick — which would also indicate a trade with the New Orleans Saints — and he’s got the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos taking Michigan State’s Connor Cook with the final pick of the round (even though that pick got cut off the tweet).
We’ll get to see how Jefferson’s mock stacks up against the endless sea of others as the NFL Draft gets underway Thursday night in Chicago.
