Cardinals-Panthers injury report: Arizona without 2 starters, 2 key backups for game

Arizona Cardinals starting left tackle Paris Johnson Jr., backup running back Trey Benson, starting linebacker Mack Wilson and pass rusher Jesse Luketa will not play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon listed the four players as out for the game on Friday before practice.

Johnson was out due to a knee issue while Benson has an ankle injury. Wilson is going through concussion protocols after leaving Sunday’s game versus the New England Patriots, while Luketa has a thigh injury.

Players who are questionable to play include guard Evan Brown (neck), return man DeeJay Dallas (illness), nose tackle Roy Lopez (ankle) and corner Sean Murphy-Bunting (cornerback).

Kicker Matt Prater was limited in practice after the Cardinals opened up his practice window on Wednesday.

Center Hjalte Froholdt was added to the injury report on Sunday with an illness. He is questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Panthers.

For the Panthers, outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney did not practice Wednesday due to an illness and a knee issue. He was upgraded to limited Thursday.

Center Cade Mays was added to the Panthers injury report on Sunday with an illness and is questionable versus the Cardinals.
